Zune to get an update tomorrow, service could be affected

zune-hd-leakI’ve got some news that might be interest for Zune lovers. Especially those of you who have been noticing the alert warning.

Microsoft has recently stated that the Zune maintenance, which is scheduled to begin at 10PM PST on January 25th, could last for 24 hours. This could affect everything Zune-related which would include Zune Pass, Zune Marketplace, Zune.net, and Zune video on Xbox Live. Also, when the upgrades are complete, users will have to update their PC software, and, unless you own a Zune HD, you’ll have to update your firmware.

I suppose Zune users may find this quite inconvenient, and there is supposedly another update available in the Spring.
