[...] MetroPCS, the wireless carrier on the US that now reaches over 300 cities, has announced a new cellphone on their catalog, the C78 made by ZTE. This is another basic cellphone like the Alcatel 206, but from the looks of it there are better features on the ZTE. Anyhow, the C78 will be available for $130 and has the following features to offers: VGA camera, 2-inch display screen, Tri-band CDMA, and lastly an internal memory of 60MB. In the end this isn’t a good, nor bad device, consider it medium and if I had to give a star rating, it would be 2 out of 5. Update-called Metropcs told me that it is a defective cell phone and to return it asap for another one. Let’s see what happens…

Well, I’ve been a customer of MetroPcs for 6 years and I have been happy with their service. Earlier this week, I went and purchased the new ZTE c79 cell phone and so far so good, until about an hour ago. As I was adjusting the volume and the silent more on it, everything froze up. I tried to turn it off-nothing. I tried contacting MetroPcs for assistance, but all that I heard was an automated recording and I’d like to talk to a human. Oh well, I guess that I will have to go back to MetroPcs and have them either fix the error or they will have to give me a new one especially since it’s only 4 days old…Otherwise for the most part, I did like the phone and its features except for the bluetooth not having the voice command feature.
