XM Announces XpressEZ and XpressR Car Satellite RadiosBy Maverick - 06/19/2007 5:12:44 AM |
XM has a couple of new satellite radios, in the form of the XpressR and XpressEZ, allowing users to access over 170 channels via satellite for sports, news and music. In addition, the XpressR holds the distinction of being the first satellite radio with a split screen display.
The XpressR’s split screen lets users view up to six different XM channels. Essentially, the screen splits up into two sections, with the current channel on the left side and the other five channels on the right side. You can choose to view by channel name, song title or artist.
You can also quickly change channels by pressing the channel number. A remote control lets you pause/replay or jump to your preferred channel. You can also get alerted when your favorite song or show is on.
The XpressEZ, on the other hand, is an entry-level radio receiver. Lightweight and compact, it features a bright 3-line display for showing artist, song title and the XM channel.
