WWDC 2009: New 15-Inch MacBook ProBy Chris - 06/08/2009 6:32:03 PM |

We’ve done the virtual live coverage of this year’s WWDC keynote and now we’re going to break it down for you. First up it’s the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
And here’s what Apple added to that unibody 15-inch laptop:
- 7 hours of power out of a non-replaceable battery similar to the one in the 17-inch version; lasts for about 1,000 charges or 5 years
- a new display capable of getting 60% more color gamut
- an SD Card slot instead of the Express Card slot
- up to a 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo CPU
- up to 8 GB of RAM
- up to 500GB HDD or 256GB SSD
The 15-inch is even cheaper now! The $1,699 version will get you a 2.53GHz processor and 4GB of RAM, the $1,999 version will get you a 2.66GHz processor and 4GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD while the $2,299 version will deliver a 2.8GHz processor, 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD.
