Wired, others to have iPad magazinesBy Jeff Baker - 03/01/2010 9:44:43 PM |

When the iPad was first announced members of the community envisioned a print free world where everything from magazines to text books would be digitized and used on a device such as the iPad. We’ve seen some text book publishers sign on but without a strong magazine backing, a print free world remains just a dream.
However, it seems that the first step towards this world has been taken as Wired has just announced that they will have a digital version of their magazine available for the iPad. Additionally, GQ, Vanity Fair, Glamour and the New Yorker will also have digital versions of their magazines. Now we just have to wait until others sign on and we’ll be well on our way.
