It seems that Microsoft is taking a hint from Apple with the apps for Windows Phone 7 Series. When I say take a hint I mean the only way to get apps for Windows Phone 7 Series devices will be through the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. If you’re an avid Windows Mobile user you’ll know that this is unlike anything ever seen from Microsoft before.

This also means that the homebrew community behind the Windows Mobile platform is sure to be crippled considering Microsoft will probably only let apps into the Marketplace that are deemed “acceptable”.
