Windows 7 to Boot Faster

We are in for a long wait for the Windows 7. Not that we’re so anxious to see the new OS from Microsoft but we’re going to be stuck in Vista for a while.

We don’t know that much about Windows 7′s features but we heard it’s rumored to boot faster than current Vista version. Microsoft is working on a boot sequence of 15 seconds or less for Windows 7. Hopefully they are working on what’s going to happen after those 15 seconds too.

The Customer Experience Improvement Program says that 35% of Vista SP1 systems boot in less than 30 seconds while the rest boot in under 50 seconds. Is that accurate? Doesn’t it take longer?
