Willcom from Japan goes bankruptBy Tony - 02/21/2010 5:19:25 PM |
In Japan the market of mobile network operators is very competitive, there are three “giants” that control the market and the fourth that is named Willcom has files for bankruptcy.
The reason for going bankrupt is unknown: maybe it is still the effect of the crisis, or maybe it is just because Willcom was the only operator in Japan with a PHS network. They had close to 4,24 million subscribers but I guess it will have zero in the near future. At the moment they are discussing a financial bailout with their rival, also known as Softbank Cop.
