Who’s That Calling?By Simon - 01/07/2009 1:37:59 PM |
Someone keeps calling your cell phone and you don’t recognize the number. You don’t want to answer it if it’s a junk call, but you don’t want to keep ignoring the call if it might be something important. Reverse cell phone look-up services allow you to plug in the number on your handset and find out who it belongs to. Some reverse cell phone look-up services charge for you to use them, but one that is free is freecellphonelookups.com. If you plug in the number and come up with nothing, try one of the free reverse look-up land line services like anywho.com or whitepages.com.
If all else fails, you can always dial the number back and see what happens, hanging up when you find out who it is. (They already have your phone number, so it’s not like you’re giving any info away by doing that.) Many reverse look up services provide name, address, and a map to location where the call was made. It’s nice to know you can find all this out just by having internet service, but it’s also kind of creepy.
