Back in August of last year we let you know for the firm time that Sony had put the updated version of their popular PS3 home video game console up for pre-order: the PS3 Slim. Featuring a lower price, slimmer form factor and several other small improvements the PS3 Slim was the PS3 everyone had hoped for ever since the console’s mammoth predecessor hit the market.

Well, now that the PS3 Slim has been out for a while and has proven itself ot be a success Sony is coming forward to announce that a white PS3 Slim with an included 160GB or 320GB hard drive will be put up for sale on July 29th of this year.

There’s no telling if/when the white PS3 Slim will make its way onto North American shores but lets hope its sooner rather than later.
