Remember those keychains that would make a noise if you whistle loud enough? Those devices helped find a lot of keys back in the eighties, and it just makes sense to apply this tech to cellular phones, which get lost around the house all the time.
The Where is my iPhone app is made for just that, but the user can program the sound that the iPhone can make when he or she whistles. So, if you want your iPhone to make a flatulent sound on your whistle, you can do that.
