I couldn’t believe this practice until I saw the video of it above. Apparently, if a cabinet memeber is meeting with the president, then he or she must leave their cellular phone or BlackBerry in a basket outside the office, with a Post-it note on it!
It doesn’t look like those notes stay on there, do they? I’m sure that this custom probably dates back to the Reagan Administration.
