Don’t look now but the XOHM is ready to be launched by Sprint. By XOHM I mean a high speed WiMAX network Sprint had in development for way too long, and by ready I mean sometime this September.
The lucky subscribers that chose Sprint in Baltimore are the ones to try the XOHM when it finally gets released. It has been tested so far in the Chicago and Baltimore-Washington D.C areas and I’d assume it will hit more markets later on.

Sprint is promising speeds of up to 2-4Mbps per user of the XOHM network. I’d like to try one XOHM please. There’s no news on plans just yet but as we get closer to September more details will probably emerge.

WiMAX is part of the future, so cable companies beware! Keep up or get out of this business! Luckily XOHM is coming in Baltimore followed by Chicago and Washington only so hardware manufacturers can still provide WiMAX support for their laptops and cell phones before other markets will be taken over by Sprint.
