While T-Mobile wants to copy Apples’ App Store it appears that Vodafone wants to copy Apple’s iTunes thing.
And not only did Vodafone launch one music store but they have launched two. Just to make sure you have a selection of songs to chose from right? The first store, Omnifone’s MusicStation has been around for a while, but now Master Voda has something new: Vodafone Music.
Accessing Vodafone Music is really simple. You run the store as a client application and the music is streamed through the already installed music player. For now 11 handsets will have the store already available while the application client can be downloaded on any others. Prices are £0.99 for singles and £7.99 for albums with Vodafone Music and £1.99/weekfor unlimited tracks with MusicStation. Which looks more iTunish like?
For now the service is available in the UK but if successful the service might arrive to other markets.
