vodafone-logo-2According to a recent announcement made by Vodafone, their music subscription service has gained 450,000 customers, that is, after all the DRM-free deals related to the top 4 major labels. These numbers are only valid in Europe and therefore the their claim is “we have the largest Largest Base of Paying Music Subscribers in Europe”.

One of the details that seemed to have helped Vodafone is the “AYCE” system – all you can eat – which provides unlimited access to download songs. The other system, a 10-track MP3 bundle was also very successful.

Lee Epting of Vodafone, comments:

We are really excited by our customers’ reaction to these great music offers. We expect to see continued growth in our music service subscriptions driven by the increase in smartphone use, with their worry-free data tariffs and great value add-ons such as music bundles.nificance of its place in the music industry.
