Viper Unveils SmartStart for Blackberry Phones

SmartStart for Blackberry PhonesInitially released for use with the iPhone, Viper’s SmartStart app is now available for Blackberry phones. This app now allows users to remotely lock and unlock doors, pop the trunk, sound the alarm, and start their cars using their Blackberry handset. However, you will need to install a car kit to make it work with the required cellular service.

The SmartStart app for the Blackberry will function on any OS 4.5 and is now available for purchase. The app with the car kit will cost $499 while a periodic subscription cost of $29.99 per year will also be required.
