N-Gauge 2 Coming Soon

Gamers have a new option in portable gaming with the impending release of the Nokia N-Gage 2 ngage2.jpg mobile gaming handheld later this year. The N-Gage 2 is a follow-up to the original N-Gauge, which was essentially a failure for Nokia, selling less than two million units. Right now, there are two companies signed on to support the platform - EA Mobile and Gameloft. The competition in the portable gaming department is pretty stiff, so we'll see how this second-generation N-Gauge 2 fares. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us with some new features. The N-gage was have thought to have died a while back, how it has lasted this long is anyones guess.

New Nintendo Wii Remotes On the Way?

Japanese gaming site Game Lab is reporting that Nintendo is working on some new Wiimotes, that will fix some of the issues with the original ones. The new remotes will reportedly have a better grip and are rechargeable, and will be available in several colors (as show in the photo above). Nintendo has not yet confirmed this rumor, so at this point all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that it's true.
