Normally, we like to report on a new phone, but that usually means that some old phone has gone the way of the dinosaur.

This is the case with the Droid Eris. Despite reports of updates to Android 2 and other software updates, this phone will no longer be available at the Verizon store.

Just when you were starting to think that Android phones were the king. Ah, well. I’m sure more Droids are on their way.
