Verizon to Sell Apple’s First Tablet?

By Chris - 07/22/2009 12:33:40 PM

This rumor is not entirely new. We heard before that Verizon is working with Apple in order to launch a future iPhone but that rumor didn’t survive that long. And we heard all year how Apple is definitely going to launch a tablet by the end of 2009 which is probably going to happen.

Today we hear a new rumor that puts Apple’s tablet in the same boat with Big Red. It seems that Verizon will be the chosen carrier to sell Apple’s first tablet. The Internet tablet is supposed to be subsidized by Verizon but it will still be quite expensive since it is, after all, an Apple product. Imagine a 9- or 10-inch iPod touch or iPhone! That’s how the tablet will look like. And it might come with an actual keyboard but nothing is certain yet.

Why would Apple bring the tablet to Verizon? What happens for all those AT&T iPhone owners that will want a tablet too? But hey, it’s just a rumor. We’ll have plenty of time to talk about it later on!
