A new slider is coming to Verizon. It’s the Samsung Trance U490 and it’s supposed to be available in Verizon stores starting with April 24. The Trance is a mid-level phone centered on music. It will come with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower sound technology and it will include a new sharing feature which will let you share playback on two simultaneous Bluetooth stereo connections. Besides the music capabilities the Trance will bring you the following:

  • 1.3 Megapixel Camera
  • 1GB of Internal Memory Dedicated for Music, up to 16GB MicroSD expansion

  • Mobile Email, Mobile Web, VZ Navigator, Chaperone Parent and Chat Capable
  • V CAST Music with Rhapsody support
  • Music Player for MP3, WMA & unprotected AAC & unprotected AAC+ Formats
  • One touch access to Music and ability to create & manage playlists and to Multi-task while listening to music
  • Sync Music from PC to Phone, Over the Air Music Downloads are not Supported
  • Text, Picture, and Voice Messaging with Threaded Messaging Feature
  • Tools: Alarm Clock, World Clock, Calculator with Converter, Stop Watch

The Trance will cost $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract or $119.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a 1 year contract or $219.99 without a contract. What will you choose?
