While the HTC Touch has been available on other carriers for quite a while now, Verizon has only announced the released of the HTC Touch in white on Verizon Wireless as Verizon XV6900. This version of the Touch include a better storage capacity that its GSM version–128MB of RAM and 256MG of flash storage. If you’re a very mobile person and would prefer to have a longer lasting battery, Verizon offers 1880mAh extended battery replacement, which reportedly lasts70% longer than standard batteries.
Verizon’s press release indicated that its version of the HTC Touch has auto-focus included–something that other versions don’t have. Unfortunately, there seems to be an error in Verizon’s part–the camera doesn’t have autofocus. Verizon’s HTC Touch also seems to be a bit pricier than other carriers’ versions at US$349.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. It’s not sure yet whether this higher price is due to an extra 1880mAh extended battery pack or not.
