Verizon offers free calls to ChileBy Tony - 03/02/2010 11:11:29 PM |
Due to the tragic earthquake that took place in Chile this past week, and the need to help people, Verizon has announced that they will offer all the landline and wireless calls from the United States to Chile.
With that being said, all calls made from February 26th until today will be credited back to Verizon customers, while the calls made from today (2 of March) until the 6th of March will be billed as $0.
There are other ways to help the people in Chile, which is related to donations:
To make a $10 donation to Habitat for Humanity, text the word “CHILE” to 25383; to make a $10 donation to World Vision, text the word “CHILE” to 20222. Customers will receive a text response to confirm the $10 donation, and 100 percent of customers’ donations will go directly to the relief organization’s efforts to help the victims of the Chilean earthquake.
