Verizon LG Migo – Child & Parent FriendlyBy Simon - 01/28/2009 11:51:27 AM |
Verizon LG Migo
Does your child really need a cell phone? No doubt your child would be glad to accept one if you offered it, but the real issue for most parents is security. Parents feel better when they know their child can call home under any circumstances. The Verizon LG Migo is especially designed with parents in mind. Dubbed the “Shrek Phone” of its bright green handset and stubby antennas, the Migo has limited options for calling out. When the child presses almost any button the phone will prompt the child with a question, “Call home?” or “Call Dad?” or whatever you program into it.
The child then presses yes or no to call. An option GPS tracking feature allows parents to keep tabs on where their child is at all times whether the child uses the phone or not. The LG Migo is designed for children between the ages of five and eight and costs $49.99 with a two year service contract. The “Chaperone” GPS service runs an additional $19.99 per month.
