Verizon bundles WiFi with mobile broadband

Verizon has today announced that they will be giving those who subscribe to their mobile broadbands services free access to a number of WiFi hotspots across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Unfortunately, this isn’t available to those who have mobile broadband on their smart phones like AT&T and T-Mobile but instead those who have mobile broadband modems. Additionally, you won’t be able to just sit down and connect to the WiFi connections painlessly as Verizon is forcing customers to use special network management software.

Bummer? Yes, but a welcome addition all the same.
