Verizon Attacks Sprint for “Most Dependable 3G Network” Ad Claim

The conflict with AT&T seems to be not enough for Verizon and the carrier is ready to open a second front against Sprint. If Apple didn’t like the 3G maps displayed in Verizon’s ads, Verizon doesn’t like Sprint’s “most dependable 3G network.” In fact it looks like Verizon is asking Sprint to remove that claim.

Verizon has been complaining to The national Adevertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus about Sprint’s ad tagline. Verizon backs everything up with a Nielsen survey that shows that its network drops fewer calls than Sprint. The board already asked Sprint to stop those ads but Sprint is saying that the survey in question didn’t tell the whole story.

Should we expect a new trial between Verizon and Sprint?
