And now, we nearly complete the line of optical mice from V7 with our second to last piece, the V7 Wired Optical Mouse.  They sent me one of these to have a look at and, despite the simplicity of it, I’m actually quite pleased.

It’s a simple enough mouse, an optical model with a USB cable and a scroll wheel that also functions as a tilt wheel.

Plugging it in and using it reveals that it’s got pretty impressive tracking–when I tried it on my laptop it turned out to offer a smoother, faster and overall better response than the trackpad that was included with the laptop.

Basically, if you’re looking for a simple mouse that does the job and does it well, then the V7 wired optical mouse should do just fine.
