V7 Standard USB Keyboard Review–Now It’s Stone-Axe Primitive

Folks, there comes a time in every gadget buff’s life when he looks at the dizzying array of possibilities around him–or even “she” and “her”, we’re not sexist here–and realizes, hey, I don’t need the very best possible everything.  Sometimes, all I need is something to do the job.

And that’s exactly what you’ll get out of the V7 Standard USB Keyboard, just enough to do the job.

You’ll remember that, earlier this month, we discussed the V7 Standard Keyboard as being a comparative rarity, a keyboard with a PS/2 plug.  Well, the Standard USB is pretty much the same product, the only real difference here being that this one comes with a USB plug instead of a PS/2 plug.

This is handy if you have a newer model computer with lots of USB ports, or for some reason, you need to patch in a second keyboard.  Maybe you’re playing a split-screen PC game.  Or maybe you just need an incredibly simple plug and play replacement for your last keyboard.  If that’s the case, then take a look at the V7 Standard USB Keyboard.  It won’t do much more than type, but sometimes, that’s all you need.

The Good

Blindingly simple

USB connectibility

Plug and play system

The Bad

Absolutely no extra features.

Score: 5/10
