V7 Multimedia Keyboard Review–Smoother Than ExpectedBy Steve Anderson - 12/03/2009 12:00:15 AM |
I learned touch typing at a fairly young age. I’ve been doing this for over a decade now, and as such, it’s gotten to the point where it’s pretty natural for me. So when I tried the V7 Multimedia Keyboard, one of which was sent by V7, I was surprised to find that it worked well with the touch typing…almost TOO well.
The multimedia keyboard by V7 includes a variety of hotkeys at the top of the keyboard designed to control various multimedia functions like your media players, music players, and of course your email and internet browsers.
The only real problme i had is that, on this one, the keys are somewhat flattened, making my touch-typing capability often slide over a key to strike a key I hadn’t meant to strike. Lots of backspacing with this one.
But still, for the low expense and fair overall capability, this is still a pretty nice keyboard.
Rating 6/10
The Good
Low cost
Multimedia hotkeys
The Bad
Flattened keys make touch typing unwieldy
