V7 Five Button Wireless Gaming Mouse Review–Lots of Utility HereBy Steve Anderson - 12/17/2009 3:38:25 AM |
Gaming mice are an interesting concept, really. They offer extra buttons that can be customized to your needs, which gives them a lot of added value. And the V7 Five Button Wireless Gaming Mouse goes just a little bit farther.
The V7 Five Button Wireless Gaming Mouse offers five buttons and a tilt wheel, which is like a scroll wheel only it also offers left to right functionality as well as up and down. It also features a stow-and-go, slide-on USB mini-receiver with power-off functionality.
The only real downside to a mouse with five buttons is that it has a pretty steep learning curve as you try to adapt to buttons in places where you’d never had buttons before. If you can work around that then you shouldn’t have a problem at all, but if you can’t, then stick to trackballs and two-button mice.
The Good
Extra buttons for utility
Great power management features
The Bad
Extra buttons make a steeper than normal learning curve
Score: 6/10
