We’re waiting anxiously for the USB 3.0 to be included in most motherboards and other gadgets. We know Intel has been studying the matter hard enough to give us a viable solution. AMD and NVIDIA have been also waiting impatiently for such technology to be shared or else.
As for future features we are looking at speeds up to ten times faster than the current USB. That means you will be to transfer 27GB via USB 3.0 in a little over a minute. How do you like that for speed?
USB 3.0 will be ten times faster than the old USB and will be capable of transferring up to 27GB in a little over a minute. USB 3.0 will contain more lanes of data. That means the connectors will be able to send and receive data in the same time, unlike the current USB connectors.
As for power management, this too is said to be really improved. Devices in standby mode won’t consume your battery juice like they do now. If you use a desktop than this won’t matter that much to you. USB 3.0 will be compatible with USB 2.0 device which means you will be able to hook all your gadgets together
Ok then Intel! I am interested. Start launching those motherboards already!
