Ubuntu ported to HTC TouchPro2By Jeff Baker - 03/09/2010 11:02:25 PM |
If you have a HTC Touch Pro2 and are unhappy with the current Windows Mobile operating system, read on — A moddern by the name of sebbo90 has managed to port Ubuntu Linux onto the Touch Pro2. Now, normally when devices have operating systems ported to such devices they are sluggish but from the looks of the above video it looks to be running pretty damn smoothly, if you don’t plan on making any calls that is.
Apparently, all you need to do download a 200MB file, put it on your fun and run it and you’ll be good to go. However, if you plan on doing this, proceed at your own risk.
