Transfer Jet: Wireless Data Transfer System Faster than USB

sony_logo_mar.jpegSony has presented a prototype of their new technology in CES 2008. The Transfer Jet is Sony's new wireless data transfer system. The purpose of the design is to find a transfer option faster than a USB connection. Current data rate transfer is around 375Mbps in speed and Sony is envisions the technology to be used by a gamut of portable electronic products in the future. In CES, they had demonstrated what the new technology can do and according to reports, 45 images were transferred from a digicam to one of Sony's photo reader box and the transfer lasted for only a few seconds.
