Toshiba V401 and V801 Gigabeat Players

Toshiba unveiled two new V-series players for its Gigabeat model. The Toshiba V401 and V801 PMPs pack in 40GB and 80GB respectively to store your music.

The V801 Gigabeat allows you to store 390 hours of programming or as many as 20,000 songs. Ideal for long-haul commuting, or, if you're like me, catch a quick song on a 5-minute commute. The player comes with a 24-bit full-color 4" QVGA TFT widescreen.

Thanks to the Professional mode of playback, the player reproduces natural sound quality on the smaller sized stereo speaker system. It featurs the H2C (High order Harmonics Compensation) technology as well.

Supported formats include WMA, MP3, WAV and WMV, along with JPEG images that the player can display.

Both the Toshiba V401 and V801 will be on sale starting June 1, 2007.
