Those who require a notebook for gaming and multimedia purposes should give the new Toshiba Satellite P105-S6207 a look. The Windows Vista notebook has been equipped with a brilliant 17-inch TruBrite display and includes; an external USB TV tuner with both NTSC (standard definition) and ATSC (HD) tuners, Harman Kardon speakers, digital audio output, and the Intel GMA 950 video card with up to 196 MB. One also comes across the Express Media Player which lets you access CDs and DVDs without booting the system.

The P105-S6207 draws it juice from the Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor which features a 1.66 GHz processor speed, 667 MHz front-side bus (FSB), and large 2 MB L2 cache. The notebook comes bundled with the Windows Vista Home Premium OS and includes all of the Windows Media Center capabilities for turning your PC into an all-in-one home entertainment center. Toshiba has also thrown in a 160 GB hard drive, 2 GB of installed RAM (4 GB maximum), tri-mode Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11a/b/g), multi-format/dual-layer DVD burner, ExpressCard slot, multi-format memory card reader, and a fingerprint reader for added security.

Other software applications include; Disc Creator, Recovery Disc Creator, and Speech System. Third-party software titles include Microsoft Works 8.5, Microsoft Office OneNote 2007, InterVideo WinDVD 8 SD and Creator 2 Platinum, Google Desktop and Toolbar, McAfee Internet Security Suite (with 30-day trial), and Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (60-day trial).

The Toshiba Satellite P105-S6207 measures 15.5 x 10.8 x 1.65 inches and weighs 7.1 pounds. It comes bundled with rechargeable lithium-ion battery, AC adapter, and operating instructions and shall retail for $1,299 in January end.
