MLC technology or multi-level-cell technology has been included in the new Toshiba SSD drives. These come in 8G, 16GB, 32GB and 250GB. What happened with the gap? Nothing in between 32GB and 256GB? Netbooks and desktops/laptops versions right?
The MLC will increase your read/write speed. Reading is done at 120Mbps and writing is done at 70Mbps for the larger SSD while the smaller capacity drives will read at 80Mbps and write at 50Mbps.
Pricing and availability aren’t mentioned yet, but massive production will start in Q4 2008.
