TomTom iPhone Application – Text-to-Speech

By Tony - 11/26/2009 10:12:42 PM

A few weeks ago we mentioned that the TomTom iPhone application would get an update, and that day is today.

If you already have the application installed on your Apple phone, just update it and all of a sudden it has text-to-speech function? Pretty cool, right? It means the application is now able to pronounce street names instead of only saying the direction (turn next right, etc).

Sadly Apple hasn’t approved the application yet, so we’ll have to wait a few more days to get a new experience! Other features included on the update: “help me” feature for emergency problems; iPod controls from the GPS navigation app itself; and being able to customize audio warnings.
