Google’s Android mobile operating system may have its own turn-by-turn GPS system built in for free but that doesn’t mean the TomTom iPhone app is going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, the company has just announced that the app has been updated to version 1.3, adding several things that many consumers have been asking for.

These features include live HD traffic updates that will be recieved every 3 minutes for an additional $19.99 per year (bummer). Other features include Google Local Search, automatic day/night mode, pinch and zoom for easier map viewing the ability to save locations from other apps and more.
