A while ago Amazon said they aren’t going to release a successor to Kindle, conspicuously referred to as the Kindle 2. According to Boy Genius Report there’s a device out there that resembles the Kindle which we might refer to as the Kindle 2.

The device appears to fix some of the flaws of the previous device. There are round corners and no oddball angles. The scroll wheel has been replaced with a joystick, the SD slot is history, and around the back there are some grills which might hide the stereo speakers you wished for.

Is this the right Kindle 2? We’re waiting for some official news. Feel free to throw in some availability dates and pricing.
