The Web 2.0 meme has become so widespread that now companies are using it as a marketing buzz-word, whether it makes any sense to the consumer or not, they seem to be least bothered. Not to be left behind though, the Apple marketing Gurus realizing the need, have made it public today that Apple's revolutionary iPhone will be running applications created with Web 2.0 Internet standards, as and when it begins shipping on that much anticipated deadline of June 29. It remains to be seen how well the WEB 2.0 filled iPhone will be received and more importantly how great these applications look and work on iPhone. It promises seamless access to iPhone services like, making a phone call, sending an email and displaying a location in Google Maps and with it also the luxury of enjoying other Web 2.0 applications like Google AdSense, Flickr, BitTorren (just to name a few) created using Web 2.0 standards, enhancing iPhone's capability and flexibility.
