The Samsung “:)” or “The Phone known as Messaging”By Mark Rollins - 06/23/2010 6:03:02 PM |
Samsung has put out a lot of messaging phones such as the Strive and the Sunburst. This one has the most unusual name to date with the “:)”.
Yes, that is it’s name, and it is an emoticon, true. It is also a QWERTY slider with 1.3 megapixel camera as well as T-Mobile’s “social buzz”. It should be hitting the T-Mobile store sometime soon.
I can’t help but think that the “:)” is designed to be marketed to the teen crowd, but what do you call it verbally? The smiley-face? That is what automatically appears when I type that on this blog. Seriously, why do you think I had to put “:)” in quotation marks?
I am totally having Prince in the early nineties flashbacks. That, and the Led Zeppelin album with the four symbols.
