This application will be available for free in the App Store and you will be able to simple take it to your Apple device.Vivian Schiller, senior vice president and general manager, NYTimes.com says:
Our readers are finding the iPhone to be a fantastic platform to experience The New York Times. Our new NYTimes iPhone application provides readers with an even richer, more personalized experience and greater access to our high-quality journalism whether they are on or offline.
Here’s what the NYTimes application will let you do:
The application will sync via WiFi or carrier network to download the latest news to your device. You will get to carry your virtual New York Times anywhere and at any time. Even during transatlantic flights in offline mode.
In order to get it simply look for it in the App Store after upgrading your iPhone and iPod software to version 2.0. And just in case you want to get a hold of the brains behind the application, Atimi is the company helping out the NY Times to get this app done in time.
