The New iPhone Will Launch Today

After we have gone through all the rumors and all the leaked pictures depicting the next iPhone, we will finally get all the official details about the new generation iPhone. In less than two hours the WWDC will go live and we’ll be bringing you all the news.

In the mean time we hear that the new iPhone will be codenamed the iPhone 3GS although we don’t have any idea of what the S represents.

John Gruber of Daring Fireball says about the iPhone 3GS:

I expect Apple to announce updated iPhones with significantly faster processors, twice the RAM, and twice the storage. I expected prices to remain the same as the current lineup: $199/299 for 16/32 GB, respectively. The video camera is going to be a major selling point.

A cheaper iPhone is also expected to be announced too while an Apple tablet, although it’s said to exist already, won’t be announced at this time. Will we see Steve Jobs announce it when he comes back to Apple?
