The New Altec Lansing T612 iPod/iPhone Docking System

Altec Lansing has showcased a new iPod and iPhone docking system in CES 2008 the Altec Lansing T612. Aesthetically speaking, the speaker system looks okay, nothing too spectacular but nothing too outrageous either. It features neodymium speakers with bass enhancement technology. What gets me sold on this model, however, is the extra features it offers. It has iPhone call support, meaning the music stops when an incoming call is received. It also has GSM shielding so potential noises would not be picked up. The dock works for the iPhone as well as the new iPod models. For older iPod models as well as other MP3 players, an auxiliary jack could be used. The system comes equipped with a remote control for volume adjustment and track control. It will be available on February '08 and will retail for USD$200.
