Telus Gets the TXTster

Though most of us are waiting for certain other handsets whose names start with ‘B’ and ‘N’ hopefully, others affected by the economic crunch will have to make do with cheaper phones, which now include the ZTE TXTster from Telus.

The vowel-dropping flip phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera with video, up to 2GB support for music, weighs in at 100 grams and has a talk time of 180 minutes. The device is equipped with Fastap – a new input method with tiny letters in between larger number keys – and can take advantage of Telus’ mobile music and navigator services.

It can be yours this holiday season for $29.99 on a 3-year contract; $79.99 and $129.99 on 2 and 1-year contracts. And for $229.99, it can be all yours.t
