TeleNav presents Shotgun GPS SystemBy Tony - 11/09/2008 8:00:55 PM |

TeleNav used to be in the software market of GPS navigation systems, but it seems they want something more and decided to go for the hardware market.
With that being said, Telenav Shotgun is their first navigation device. Like the majority of other GPS systems, it has a 4.3-inch touchscreen (480 x 272 pixels of resolution), and an onscreen QWERTY keyboard to make it easy to type a location or street address. Built-in speakers so you can listen to instructions, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are also included.
The battery life seems a bit poor, only 2 hours and a half when using it normally, while on the suspended mode makes the battery last 5 days. Other features on the TeleNav Shotgun include real-time traffic information, internet search on a database with 11 million entries, and updates to maps and business listings every 3 months.
The Telenav Shotgun is priced at $300 and there are different subscription models: $240 for 2 years, $129 per year, or $12 per month.
