Sony Ericsson has today come forth to reveal that their Aino and Satio handsets will be made available in the UK on October 7th, 2009.

The Aino slider handset features PS3 Remote Play compatibility, an 8.1 mp camera and included Facebook software. The Satio, on the other hand, featurs a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 12.1 mp camera with xenon flash, HSPA, and a microSD slot.

Unfortunately, there was no word of a North American release but we’ll keep you posted.

The Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart Phone was originally posted by Simon last June and now it seems that this eco-friendly phone has found its way to various countries. The latest country that has announced the availability of this mobile is the Philippines. The Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart phone is the environmental contribution of Sony Ericsson which boasts of a lower environmental impact without compromising its functionality and features.

Among the featured highlights of the C901 Greenheart phone include a 5 megapixel camera with a built-in Xenon flash. It also has features like:

  • Face Detection
  • Smile Shutter
  • BestPic (A feature which allows users to get nine pictures in succession)
  • 2.2 Scratch-resistant mineral glass display
  • Facebook and Youtube Enabled

The Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart phone is now available at local stores in the Philippines.

Altek’s T8680 camera phone

It seems that a handset manufacturer by the name of Altek has come forth to announced their 12megapixel touting T8680.

As you can see, this phone is as close as you can get to being a digital camera while still retaining calling features. Coupled with its 12MP sensor is a 3x optical zoom, xenon flash and video recording features making it a perfect alternative to an actual digital camera.

Other features include a 3″ touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, TV out port and tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM/EDGE capabilities. Unfortunately, there is no word if Altek ever plans to bring this phoen to North America but, as always, we’ll keep you posted.

  • We haven’t heard about Sony Ericsson’s C905a for some time now but details have just leaked out that could be pointing to an AT&T launch on July 19th.

    The Sony Ericsson C905a will feature:

    • 8MP camera with Xenon flash, auto focus and 30fps QVGA video recording
    • 240 x 320 LCD screen
    • HSDPA
    • Bluetooth
    • WiFi
    • AGPS

    While this handset may seem like nothing special, it’s reportedly AT&T’s first 8MP camera phone. Anyone excited?

    Idou will be available 2nd Half of 2009. *”Idou” is a concept name for this phone and not the final name under which the product will be marketed to the public.
