MSI X-Slim X600 Comes with Specs


We have one more X-Slim laptop coming from MSI and we’re ready to show you its features. The X600 is an ultraportable, extra-slim laptop, ready to be taken anywhere you’re headed and you will be able to choose from to versions of it.

Version 1 will bring you a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, Bluetooth, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics card, HDMI connectivity, three USB ports, a 15-inch screen and a six-cell battery. This version will cost $1,320 and it will be available in June in Europe.

Version 2 is cheaper as it will cost $1,120 and it will be available in June in Europe but for that price you’ll get a slower 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor, 3GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD. Version 2 will also lose that Bluetooth connectivity so if you want it you should better go for version 1.

WWDC 2009: New MacBook Air

Sure you could always choose one of its direct competitors, the Adamo from Dell or one of the X-Slim laptops from MSI, but for those of you with a bigger wallet, the Air is probably the best way to go.

Apple decided to offer everyone a $300/$700 price drop depending on what model you choose but the MacBook Air it’s still expensive with prices starting at $1,499. The cheapest version will offer you a 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 9400M graphics card and a 120GB HDD. For $1,799 you get a 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 9400M graphics card and a 128GB SSD.

Remember that ultra-thin laptop MSI has conceived? Well the X-Slim X320 is now ready to ship to American customers for just $599. The laptop will offer you a 13-inch screen, an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, a 4-cell battery, an Intel Menlow US15W chipset, integrated GMA 500 graphics card and Windows Vista Home Premium. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi card, stereo speakers and a bunch of useful ports: Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, a 2-in-1 media card reader and a VGA output. This is certainly the slimmest 13-inch laptop you could acquire as it’s only between 6 and 20mm thin so you should definitely get it if that’s what you’re looking for. Or would you rather get the MacBook Air instead?

MSI has new slim notebooks in town which seem ready to battle against the MacBook Air. The new machines are the X-Slim X400 and the X600. These are 14-inch and 15-inch laptops which will come with Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage processors, a 16:9 ratio, LED-backlit displays, Blu-ray graphics and 8-cell/9-cell batteries. What more do you need? The prices and arrival dates haven’t been revealed yet so bear with us..
