While the Storm 2 or the Niagara will be certainly great phones when they will be ready for the masses, we feel like RIM still needs to up the ante with a really hot Berry capable of fighting off that Pre or the new iPhone.

The Wireless Enterprise Symposium being held next week in Orlando, FL, is likely to be the event chosen by Research in Motion to unveil new devices. Besides the Niagara which is going to be announced at WES a new BlackBerry handset called the Apex should also be made public.

We have no idea what kind of phone will the Apex be. Is it a flip as the rumors say? Is it a regular Berry with different features? We’ll tell you more in a week or so.

During May 5-7, the Wireless Enterprise Symposium will be underway in Florida and RIM is said to unveil a new device which will have inside a fast 1GHz processor. We’re actually anxious to see what BlackBerry RIM has been working on, especially since we already are waiting for a Toshiba smartphone wearing a 1GHz processor this year. Doer RIM already have a competitor for the TG01 and for the third generation iPhone? WES 2009 will certainly reveal more information about RIM’s new devices, but feel free to send in your hot tips if you have them.
