Panasonic offers another business gadget tool that will help spur up productivity in the corporate setting. VAI will offer Panasonic’s Toughbook line of computers, specifically the Ultra-mobile Toughbook U1 to its customer portfolio.
The Toughbook product line will empower VAI’s clients with the mobility, durability and connectivity, needed to enhance employee productivity, by providing mobile access to VAI’s S2K Enterprise Software Suite.
The fully-rugged Panasonic Toughbook U1 allows remote workers to connect to critical information and applications in real time, improving organizational efficiency, increasing information accuracy, and enabling field-based decision-making. The U1 can integrate a robust set of features previously unavailable in handheld devices, including 3G mobile broadband, GPS, 1D and 2D barcode and RFID readers, a 2-megapixel digital camera, a daylight viewable screen and twin, hot-swappable batteries offering up to nine hours of life.
Unlike most handhelds, the U1 operates on the full-function Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems, giving users unprecedented remote access to feature-rich software applications in the field. The device’s fanless all-weather design also reduces noise, weight and points of failure and its magnesium alloy chassis delivers protection from bumps and drops of up to 4 feet.
VAI is offering the Panasonic Toughbook to enhance the products and services provided to its customer base. Kevin Beasley, CIO, VAI, noted, “VAI strives to offer solutions that enhance the capabilities of our S2K product line.
Toughbook U1 complements our solutions nicely, since it provides reliable access to the data and information necessary to run an effective business. Streamlined operations are a core promise delivered via our S2K software, and making real-time information accessible to mobile workers saves time, money and increases productivity.”
