The Pixi is supposed to be official this Sunday but it looks like the phone has already been spotted at certain Walmart locations. The Pixi is reported to have a $400 price tag at certain stores in Tennessee although that hasn’t been confirmed yet. In fact the Pixi hasn’t been spotted in Walmart’s system yet which means the phone is not available for purchase yet.
Will the Pixi be a hit phone or will it have to stay in the shadows of other smartphones like the Droid this winter? Will you buy a Pixi in the near future?

Walmart has announced another special holiday promo, this time for the Blackberry smartphones from all four major carriers (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless). For any purchase of Blackberry smartphones with a 2 year contract, customers will be getting a $100 Walmart Gift Card upon purchase which they can use on a later transaction.
The $100 Gift Card should be something handy to use especially for shoppers who are aching to get some breaks for their Holiday gift needs. This promo will be effective starting November 14 up to November 20. Among the phones covered by this promotional $100 Walmart Gift Card include:

In case you got pretty excited two days ago to find out that Palm and Sprint are getting ready to launch the Pixi on October 20 then you’re about to get pretty bummed to hear that said date might not be that precise. The source failed to mention the correct launch date but we can assume that both Sprint and Palm would like to have a fresh phone available in time for Christmas. In case you have already passed on the Palm Pre, which can be purchased right now for just $79 from Walmart, will you consider getting the Pixi this winter?

Looking to pick up a Palm Pre but still haven’t done so perhaps you should head over to Walmart as they are holding a great deal for the phone. As you can see from the above screenshot Walmart will now be offering the Palm Pre for just $79.99 with a new 2-year contract.
This compares with Sprint’s Palm Pre price tag of $149.99 after a 2-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. $70 savings? Count me in.

I shouldn’t do too much explaining but just in case you didn’t get it the first time I will. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 aka the Gemini is now available from Amazon for just 1 cent. That’s right, you can get the Gemini for $0.01 which means you save $298.98. So don’t even think about paying $130 or $49 for this totally new RIM phone. Amazon will deliver it straight to your door for 1 cent. Unfortunately the new contract is still mandatory!

The day has finally come folks! T-Mobile has the Gemini ready for you for just $129.99. As you can see, the suggested retail price is $299.99 so you save instantly $170. The question is, wouldn’t you rather pay $49 for the same Curve 8520 sold now at Walmart? No matter where you purchase your Curve 8520, you’ll still have to get a T-Mobile contract. And since we’re talking about an entry-level Berry here, you might just be better off paying what Walmart is asking for it. What do you think?

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is now available online too from T-Mobile. RIM’s latest phone will be “coming soon”. You’ll be able to order your Gemini starting with August 5 but there are no prices available yet. Will it have anything to do with that $48.88 Walmart price we’ve seen earlier? With such a price tag it’s almost impossible not to bump into the new Curve in a Walmart store and decide to pick one up. However, if most of your handset shopping is done online then check T-Mobile website in about two days to see how much T-Mobile is going to ask for a brand new BlackBerry Curve 8520.

In case you think T-Mobile is charging way too much for a device that doesn’t do 3G and comes with only a 2-megapixel camera then you should go to Walmart to purchase your BlackBerry Curve 8520 Gemini. Walmart will offer this new Berry for just $48.88 (ok, almost $50) which is a much better price than T-Mobile’s $129.99 tag.

If rumors are to be believed, it seems that for about 2 weeks Walmart will be the exclusive carrier of T-Mobile’s BlackBerry Curve 8520 starting on August 5th.
For those who don’t know the BlackBerry 8520 features a 320 x 240 resolution display, 2MP camera, WiFi, quad-band GSM and RIM’s OS 5.0. Unfortunately, those looking for a 3G capable device will be discouraged to hear that this will not feature said connectivity.
Alternatively, if you want to grab one ahead of the competition you can always count on eBay.

You have about three weeks to get ready to buy your first Palm Pre. Sprint is also thoroughly preparing for the first sales. The carrier plans special store hours for the first two days. Sprint’s stores will close early at 4:00PM on Friday, June 5 and it will open early in the morning on Saturday, June 6, at 8:00AM. Will Sprint have enough handsets to go around in the first couple of days? As we have told you earlier today other locations like Radio Shack, Best Buy and Walmart will also sell the Pre soon after the official launch. What about you? Do you know where you’re going to wait in the line for the Pre?

T-Mobile’s G2, or whatever it’s going to be called, will pleasantly surprise you when it arrives soon. The phone will be available in white too, but most importantly the phone will come with a 5 megapixel camera instead of the regular 3.2 megapixel camera we were expecting. Walmart will start selling the G2 sometime in July and it will cost you $179 when purchased with a 2-year agreement.

Ho-ho-ho! Merry Christmas! Get your iPhone 3G at Wal-Mart! After Christmas!
There were many rumors about this and now they are confirmed. The iPhone will be on sale at Wal-Mart starting with December. I’m curious if the iPhone will have a different price at Wal-Mart. I mean, it definitely is a holiday Special! And apparently there is another report stating that besides the 2,500 Wal-Marts another 69 Sam’s Club locations will be selling the iPhone starting with the same date! All that remains is to let Santa know about the offer in the letter you’ll send him and encourage him to get your gift after Christmas!

Will the G1 hit Walmart locations already? It would seem so. T-Mobile has just started to sell the devices out of its own stores and it already seeks to expand.
It seems that a deal between the two will get Android phones in the top 10 stores in every regional market. The phones might arrive as soon as November 24th in these Walmart stores and they might cost as low as $148.88 with a plan. So let me get this right, T-Mobile is willing to cut the price down and already move the G1 to other stores?

AT&T is ready to spread it’s U-verse to customers all around the States. The mobile carrier has signed agreements with Circuit City and Walmart which will help it sell the service in over 600 locations. AT&T seems ready to do what it takes to promote its video on demand service. Will people choose it instead regular cable or satellite services? Will they choose AT&T over Apple TV? That would be a fun fight to watch between the two partners in the iPhone business.

After hitting Best Buy stores, the iPhone 3G seems ready to make itself available to Walmart customers. Is this for real or not? Well the rumors say November 15 is the day when Apple’s device is going to be available in Walmart stors. Is it believable? Well why not? It would be understandable to see Apple trying to get as many resellers involved in its iPhone program. After all they must meet the 10 million sold iPhones goal. Wait a second, I thought they did sell 10 million handsets already! I meant the 15 million sold iPhones by Christmas?
Do you think we’re going to see cheaper iPhones since they are coming from Walmart? Didn’t think so myself either!

Well is it just me or have you also noticed the recent price drop for the Asus Eee PC 901? Amazon dropped the price for the 1000H to $449 while the 901’s price dropped from $599 to $499. That was yesterday. Now, at Walmart locations you will find the Asus Eee PC 901 for just $448.
